About Texana Lodge
When
you’ve had another long work week in the big city and you need to get back
to nature, come let us serve you. We’re conveniently located just south
of Round Top, Texas in Fayette County. The drive isn’t long from big
cities like Houston, Austin and San Antonio, but once you pull into our
gates, you’ll feel like the city is days away. Come relax under ancient
oak trees, walk our over 70 acres of pastures and catch a bass in our small,
private stream. The main lodge is a historical log home, built in
1836. We offer three bedrooms, a master suite downstairs (complete
with whirlpool bath) and two large rooms upstairs. All of the
historical charm and elegance of the house is preserved while modern amenities
are blended in to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible.
In addition to the natural amenities waiting for you outside, you can relax
in our pool and spend time outdoors under the gazebo in the back or on our
large front porch. In Round Top you’ll find several great restaurants
and plenty of shopping opportunities. A park in the middle of town
is dedicated to preserving the way of life from Texas’ frontier days and
features original historic homes available to tour. You’ll also find
Festival Hill, a 200-acre classical music campus founded by concert pianist
James Dick. On campus, the 1,100 seat Festival Hill Concert hall
boasts a regular schedule of classical music performances. |
